Cobia - Panama City Beach Pier Fishing
It sure feels like summer has arrived; Water temperatures are already in the 70′s, and standing in the surf and casting is more than comfortable! Fishermen at both the city and county piers are bringing in Cobia and Spanish Mackerel. Sheepshead are lurking around the pilings, and although we’re not seeing an abundance of Pompano (yet), there are some large Redfish being pulled out of the surf. Grab your gear and get on down to Panama City Beach!
The Lighthouse Marina Cobia Tournament is a month long fishing event, hosted by Lighthouse Marina on historic Grand Lagoon from March 30 until April 29, challenging anglers out searching for the migrating Cobia (ling) passing through our area each Spring! The event has a low entry fee of $150 for those registering before opening day of the tournament and pays weekly winners and then an overall winner! Weigh-ins will be held daily from noon to 5 pm at Lighthouse Marina. Click here for more information!

The weather is warming up! It’s time for… Deep Sea Fishing Trips at Capt. Anderson’s Marina “where the fish are always biting and the kids are always smiling”! Get ready for a weekend of fishing and fun for anglers and spectators at the Sportfish Classic!
Starting on Friday, September 23, participants will fish overnight for swordfish, and then target blue marlin, tuna, wahoo and dolphin during the day on Saturday. Weigh-ins on Saturday, September 24, are scheduled to accommodate spectators for both events. The weekend will also feature live music at Lighthouse Marina & Boatyard Restauraunt on Saturday. Guests can expect a laid back, family friendly event- perfect for the weekend!
Awards will take place at Lighthouse Marina shortly after the last fish is weighed in the PCB Sportfish Classic.
