Fall Fishing Challenge

October 02 – 25, 2015

Every Friday–Sunday at Russell-Fields Pier

Cast your line and reel in some fun with the Fall Fishing Challenge at Russel-Fields City Pier and Miller County Pier. Start your weekend off bright and early with competitions beginning at 5 a.m. on Friday mornings running through Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. With both a Children’s Division—open to kids 12 years and under—and an adult division, anglers of all ages can enjoy the competition. This event is family friendly and a great way to enjoy the beautiful Emerald Coast waters of Panama City Beach!

The adult challenge includes four species: King Mackeral, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, and Pompano, with a winner at each pier being awarded in each fish category every weekend. Each weekend compete for the chance to win $1,300 in prizes.

Think you’ve got what it takes to catch the heaviest fish this month? A $250 prize package will be awarded to the overall winner between the two piers in each of the four categories during the 2015 Fishing Challenge.

Young anglers who catch the heaviest overall fish between all categories each weekend will win a $50 prize package. Children must hook the fish and participate in reeling in the fish. Winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Sunday evenings.

For more information about this challenge please call Russell-Fields City Pier at (850) 233-5080 or M.B. Miller County Pier at (850) 236-3035.
