So Much More Than An Art Gallery!
Panama City Beach is known as the perfect travel destination for many reasons. For starters, we have the most amazing beaches with a long stretch of clear emerald-blue waves splashing onto the shores of white quartz sand. The shopping will satisfy all shoppers at heart, and the food here is incredible. Among the many activities Panama City Beach has to offer, Panama City Centre for the Arts (formerly known as the Visual Art Center) should be high on your to-do list whether you’re a local or tourist.

The Panama City Centre for the Arts is known as “the anchor” of the revitalization of downtown and is why Panama City was recently named number 6 in the book The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America
The 2,000-square-foot gallery space has had the privilege of presenting some of the world’s most renowned artist exhibitions and has hosted major art competitions such as the National Watercolor Competition and International Photography Competition. The center also hosts an annual gallery exhibit celebrating the works of many Floridian artists, as well as Bay County School students.

Currently the gallery is hosting the 53rd Bay Annual Juried Art Competition and Exhibition, which started January 22 and goes on until March 11, so there’s still time to get tickets to see the art for yourself! Three different types of awards will be appointed at the end of the competition, one in Best in Show ($500), six for the Merit Awards ($100 each), and six honorable mentions, totaling 12 winners.
