Dawn Vansant is the Director of Rental Services for Resort Collection.
Dawn oversees a full team of rental service managers, supervisors, and agents. Her department is responsible for maintaining rental owners’ units, ensuring they are in impeccable condition, are stocked with the appropriate housewares, handling owner/guest issues as needed, and making sure rental owners and our guests are highly satisfied.
How long have you lived in Panama City Beach?
I have lived in PCB for 8 years, I am originally from Philadelphia, PA
Describe your job responsibilities.
As the Director of Rental Services I am responsible for all of RC’s rental units (900). Oversee 4 managers, 8 agents, and 11 properties. I am also the primary liaison for the owners and guests of the rental units. It is my job to motivate, train, counsel, and lead my team to continue to deliver excellent service to be the premier management company on the beach.

Myself and a few very close friends just hanging on the beach with the sand in our toes and drinks in our hands.
What’s your favorite sport/team?
If you could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, what would you have a good chance at winning a medal for?
Singing 90’s rap songs. I know all the words to “Shoop” by Salt N Pepa; it is one of my favorite songs. Fun fact: Last year I went to the “I Love the 90’s” music tour in Pensacola and was onstage with them when they sang that song.
Aside from your current position, what job would you most want to have at Resort Collection and why?
I find Community Association Management (CAM) and Property Management to be the most intriguing. I am greatly interested in understanding the HOA and Board facets of Property Management as well as the aspects of Building Management and Maintenance. I obtained my CAM license 2 years ago with the desire to grow my career in that direction.
What movie title describes your life?
Rocky. While the title is fitting, the story resonates with me even more. His whole life was a million to one shot and he never gave up.

I was offered a full-ride scholarship to art school.
