Resort Collection is honored to host this year’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at our own Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort on Saturday, September 9th.
The Panama City Beach 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Fundraiser started back in 2011 as a special way to remember the 10th Anniversary of the tragic events that happened on September 11, 2001, and pays tribute to the lives that were lost on that day (Firefighters, EMS, Law Enforcement, Military, and civilians). Participants climb 110 flights of stairs, the height of the World Trade Center Towers, in their honor. All money raised goes towards the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and local First Responder projects.
This event is open to anyone that wants to climb – Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Military, and Civilian – and takes place rain or shine. The event will happen in Tower 1 at Edgewater. Participants will ascend the east stairwell, cross the 11th floor, and descend on the west stairwell, repeating five times to equal the 110 flights of stairs.
