The Resort Collection was delighted to host a press conference Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Ocean’s Bar & Grill gulf- and pool-side restaurant at Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort. The Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce was awarded $485,000.00 from the BP Gulf Tourism and Seafood Promotional Fund, to be allocated towards the 2013 Panama City Beach Seafood & Music Festival. The Beach Chamber is one of only two organizations from Bay County to be awarded BP grant money.

PCB Chamber’s Lauren Williams and Resort Collection Vice President of Sales & Marketing/PCB Board Chairman Paul Wohlford accept the check from Mr. Patrick Juneau.
It is the Beach Chamber’s hope that with the help of the Gulf Tourism and Seafood Promotional Fund, it will be able to not only bring awareness, but re-brand the Gulf Coast region as an abundant resource for seafood and fishing. Checks were presented by Mr. Patrick Juneau, Deepwater Horizon Claims Administrator, and Nick Gagliano, Grant Coordinator. Representatives from the Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce, Panama City Downtown Improvement Board, Wakulla County Tourist Development Council, City and Port of Port St. Joe, Port St. Joe Redevelopment Agency, Mexico Beach, and the Gulf Coast Marine Life Center accepted checks they were awarded from the fund.
